This handmade sign is engraved on the back indicating it was made by a mechanic at Reigate in 1941. It depicts Amb.100. Amb.100 held the registration of GGP 469 which would be consistent with it being a Dodge van conversion so it is possible that this sign was based on an original vehicle. Reigate was not a station of the American Ambulance for the entirety of The War and this vehicle ultimately ended up being disposed of in County Durham at the end of The War.
